Naima Aziz Green Interior Design Consultant Naima is an established name as green interior design consultant with her diversified twenty years of experience in the design industry of UAE, Pakistan, and UK. Her expertise covers various areas of Green interior design and sustainability in built environment. Currently, she is an associate consultant with Reference Interiors in Dubai. UAE. She also serves as an affiliate faculty and research supervisor with international universities in the UAE. She is the founder of “The green Home” a sustainable and therapeutic home concept in the UAE and Pakistan , which revolves around eco friendly lifestyle with organic furnishings, therapeutic color schemes & interior décor being water and water & energy efficient leaves less carbon footprints. She designs interior design products and artwork which are not only sustainable and therapeutic, but also aesthetically appealing to multicultural environment and leave positive impact on the occupants. Naima as an established and versatile green designer, having affluent and diverse academic background holds BSc in biological sciences, a B.A in interior design and MSc in Project Management (Sustainable Construction & Design) with distinction from the UK. Her love for exploring benefits of using natural materials in built environments and producing ergonomic solutions for indoors led her to acquire a post graduate diploma in contemporary furniture from Italy. She is pursuing her PhD in sustainable interiors from UK as well. Naima is a qualified BREEAM.UK Consultant , LEED Green Associate,USA and Estidama(UAE) Professional for bespoke green buildings, Residential projects and interiors in the Gulf. Her research related to sustainability and living buildings focuses on enhanced indoor environmental quality. She believes in creating therapy interiors with careful application of colors, light, texture & space by observing their impact on well being & behavior of the occupants. Naima worked in Pakistan as an interior design consultant for various multinational home- fashion stores, as well as architectural and construction firms before moving to UAE in 2002.Creativity and passion for sustainable approaches in life motivated Naima to establish her design gallery in Dubai. Presently she is involved with various residential and commercial projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as green project management and interior design consultant. Naima has participated in many solo and group exhibitions and has been invited as a guest speaker on various TV channels in UAE and Pakistan to share her knowledge about green and healthy interiors and color therapy. She is undertaking a research on colors and their impact on human behaviors and plans to publish a book soon, with emphasis on gaining success in life by rational use of colors in daily life. She herself is very optimistic and keen about adapting sustainable approaches in improving the general life, health and well being of mankind. She believes ‘going green’ is the only future lifestyle to be happy and keep others happy ever after.
